Manimahesh Yatra
Manimahesh Yatra in Himachal is held at Mountain Kailash in the August-September period. The devotees reach the Mountain Kailash for this Yatra by trek from Bharmaur (Chamba). The Manimahesh Yatra is considered as a state level fair in accord with the declaration of the Himachal Pradesh State Government. A number of plans and programs have been carried out by the Himachal tourism department to promote the event.
Manimahesh can be reached from Pathankot through Chamba and Bharnaur. Manimahesh Yatra starts from Pathankot or Chakki Bank Railway Ahead or Pathankot or Gaggal Airport. You can have a rejuvenating feel when you are walking on the way of the Manimahesh Lake which is said to be an abode of Lord Shiva according to the Hindu Mythology.
Viewing the fabulous natural landscapes and getting engrossed in the captivating environs is the time to get rid of all the pain of the tiring journey to an altitude of 4,080 meters. The amazing route is not less than heaven for the adventure buffs.
